Pastor Gabriel Cordeiro talks about the power of praise in spiritual warfare. To illustrate this we look at 2 Chronicles 20, where praise serves as a decisive spiritual weapon of warfare when King Jehoshaphat and the nation of Judah faced an overwhelming coalition of Moabites, Ammonites, and men from Mount Seir.
When the enemy army marched against Judah, causing fear across the nation. Jehoshaphat proclaimed a fast and sought God, receiving the prophetic promise: "The battle is not yours, but God's".
God answered the nation's prayers by speaking through a man named Jahaziel.
God said, "Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but God's."
Strengthened by this the king sends a squad of singers to walk ahead of the armed troops , praising God for the splendor of His holiness. As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they destroyed one another, until they all died. The people of Judah did not need to lift their swords, it was not necessary because God was in action.
