Pastor Gabriel Cordeiro continues his Armor of God series talking about how the apostle Paul told the early Christians in Ephesus to put on spiritual armor so they could “stand against the schemes of the devil”

After instructing Christ followers to fasten the belt of truth, Paul told them to put on a “breastplate of righteousness.” Just as the breastplate protected a soldier’s heart, so is the righteousness that guards the believer’s heart.

We know that by nature we are sinful, unholy and ungodly but when Jesus died on the cross, he took our sins onto Himself. In exchange, those who believe in Him received His perfect righteousness

  • “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; they are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus” (Romans. 3:23–24).
