Pastor Gabriel Cordeiro talks about "The Armor of God"  which is a spiritual metaphor written by the Apostle Paul. It describes pieces of Roman military gear as virtues and tools that Christians use to stay strong against temptation and evil.

Ephesians 6:14 says, "Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth." Or, as the King James version says, "Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth." 

Paul begins his description of our spiritual armor with the belt of truth .This was the belt on the soldier’s tunic where his sword hung from and gave him freedom of movement. The belt was the foundation of a soldier’s armor – holding his sword and his breastplate. The belt was incredibly important.

Similarly truth is at the core of everything we do and say and believe. It's the truth that keeps us upright, sets us free, and allows us ease of movement in this life, while at the same time offering us core support.
