Jesus and the Kingdom Series

The Upside-Down Kingdom by Pastor Gabriel Cordeiro

John 1:1-5

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not [a]comprehend it.

Since the fall of man, humanity has been living under

Today, the children of First Love Church learned that there are no two snowflakes that are exactly alike. Every snowflake that has ever existed has its own unique shape and intricate pattern.

And just like God created each snowflake to be perfectly unique, he made every single person to be perfectly unique also! Not only do we all have different physical features, but very different personalities, likes/dislikes, gifts/talents and ways of looking at the world! There is only

On "Vision Sunday", Pastor Gabriel delivered God's vision for First Love Church! We understand that it is necessary to have God's vision for the church because of His Word which says, "Where there's no vision, the people perish." (Proverbs 29:18a) Pastor Gabriel explained what the DNA (or essence) of the church ought to be. The key Bible verse that FLC needs to focus on is 1 John 4:19 which says, "We love because he first loved us." And this is what we will strive to live

This week, First Love Church is wrapping up the study on the 4 Pillars of the Early Church by digging into the topic of prayer! As the adults spent time learning about prayer and putting it into practice in the main sanctuary, the children of FLC also had a beautiful moment with the Lord!

First, we read a passage from the Book of Matthew in the Children's Bible:

Jesus Teaches About Prayer

"So when you pray, you should pray like this: 'Our Father in heaven, we pray that your n

Breaking Bread

In the early church, breaking bread together meant coming together as a family, eating, talking about the great things of God and remembering what Jesus did for us. This week, Pastor Gabriel shared a message about this with the "grown-ups". Since God wants all of His children (young and old) to grow together in His Word, we also broke bread (literally) in the Children's Ministry! Every child got to spread delicious organic jelly on bread and cookies and enjoy eating them t

A Mailbox Moment!

This week in the Children's Ministry we introduced our mailbox system to the kids, and they were so excited about it! From now on we will take 5-10 minutes at each Sunday gathering to have a "Mailbox Moment". Every child who comes to the ministry will be given paper and markers to write an encouraging note or draw a picture for one of the other kids. Then they will put it in that child's mailbox to take home after the gathering. But that's not all! The whole church family

Loving By Sharing!

This week, Pastor Gabriel was ministering from the second chapter in the book of Acts, which describes how the early church combined everything they had, shared meals, and took care of each other. In the children's ministry, I wanted to put an emphasis on sharing, and how it is an act of love. All the children sat around a table with a small container of play-doh. Each one had a different color. While they played with their play-doh, I told them about th...
